This is where is all begins. Rich in both ancient tradition and modern perspective, our 200-hour Teacher Training is a fully comprehensive program for those ready to commit. Whether you aspire to teach others with confidence and skill or simply wish to deepen your personal practice, our program is designed to reach these goals and strictly adheres to the Yoga Alliance guidelines. This transformational personal journey will allow you to commit to yourself and evolve your practice in new and profound ways.

Our time together will be spent studying and practicing in a supportive and interactive environment that encourages learning, self-expression and discovery. Upon completion of the program, you will be able to register as a Registered Yoga Teacher-200 with the Yoga Alliance.

Focus of Study

Philosophy: History of Yoga and Teachings of Wisdom from the Ancient Yoga Texts

Foundational Base for Teaching: Ashtanga Yoga

Asana: Exploration of Over 100 Postures, Proper Alignment, Energetic Properties, Modifications, Contraindications and Benefits, Intelligent and Effective Sequencing, Safe and Meaningful Hands-On Adjustments, Anatomy for Yoga

Other Topics: Meditation, Pranayama, Sanskrit, Chakras, Journaling, Finding Your Authentic Teaching Voice, Business of Yoga

The heart of yoga is about relationships. During the training time, you will become an integral part of our studio that will hopefully continue for many years beyond. All students will be assigned a teacher to act as their own personal “mentor” and be partnered up with another student in the teacher training program as a “buddy”.

* Interested students should have at least one year of consistent practice *

The Weekly Schedule

Training starts on Saturday, June 22, 2019 and ends on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
Graduation Ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 27.

NO TRAINING on July 4, July 5, July 6.

We will meet 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, unless noted below.

Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23 from 12 pm to 3 pm

Monday, Wednesday, Friday:
10 am to 3:00 pm (take the 10 am Vinyasa Flow Class)
Tuesday and Thursday: 11:30 am – 4:30 pm (take the 11:30 am Practice Flow)
Saturday: 10-1pm (take the 10 am Vinyasa Flow)

*In addition to the above times, there will be a requirement to take additional classes at the studio along with homework assignments, readings, and meetings to practice teaching with your peers.

Deposit: $750 due with application to reserve a spot
